The primary objective of the role will be to be responsible for the management, budget, strategy and business performance of the investment management team within the office, with the objective of maximizing profitability.
You will report into a Director and co-ordinate the new business and client maintenance activities of the locally-based investment professionals whilst manage client portfolios professionally, ensuring their performance objectives are met and at the same time ensuring the firms quality and service reputation with customers is enhanced. Responsibilities will also include:
- The management, strategy and business performance of his/her office, with the objective of maximizing profitability and new business generation for the offices, this includes delivery of our corporate goals, principles and culture
- Responsible for building a ‘bottom-up’ budget for the Investment Managers, each Investment Manager is responsible for his/her own budget, which is to be agreed with the Head of Office. This budget will be consolidated into the Regional budget and, ultimately the Group budget.
- Implement the reward structure for each member of the office’s Investment Management team and co-ordinate the new business and client maintenance activities of the investment professionals.
Qualifications:
The team will comprise a range of investment professionals including Investment Managers, Financial Planning, Advisory Stockbrokers, Business Development Managers and Support Staff. As an Approved Persons you will hold qualifications from any of the recognized bodies such as CFA, CISI or SII and be qualified to a minimum of Level 4, actively managing client portfolios you will have responsibility for driving the firms 'TCF' scheme.
A successful applicant will be able to negotiate a basic salary up to 170, 000 CAD plus benefits and bonus, demonstrating the capabilities of a successful Investment Manager a leader the appointed Head of Office will be provided will full support and report into Senior Management within the business.
